Schedule an introductory one-on-one private lesson with an instructor, or attend our Monday night Newcomers group class.

Introductory Lessons

A 40-minute private lesson with one of our talented instructors. If you have taken lessons before, this lesson will be used to assess where you are and which group classes will be best suited for you. The lesson cost is $30 (same rate for singles or couples) and if you choose to enroll with BallroomU that $30 will be credited toward the cost of future lessons. Win-win!

Newcomer Class

A 40-minute group class for those new to our dance studio. Free for first-time attendees, this is a great intro to learn basic movements, explore the dance studio and meet some of our instructors.

Our Story

A different kind of dance studio

Looking for a dance studio near you? Our modern space is located in the Harrison Pointe Shopping Centre in Cary, NC, right next to The Big Easy restaurant. The dance studio features an open layout with a floating floor specially designed for social dancing. Whether dancing is something that you’ve been thinking about starting for years or you’re an experienced dancer looking for a new dance home, BallroomU is here for you.

BallroomU was established in April 2016 by owner Austin Moon. Austin saw an opportunity to do things differently—to establish a dance studio that taught professional and contemporary dance classes to people of all ages in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether you want to compete in a grand ballroom or keep it social with your dance partner and new dance friends, BallroomU is the place for you! One of the only truly local dance studios, BallroomU is THE place to dance NOW.
